According to the IndiaAI Mission Chief Executive Abhishek Singh, the third tender has granted approval for approximately 3,850 new GPUs, including 1,050 Google Trillium TPUs—a strategic diversification in hardware that signals India’s ambition to be future-ready. Adding to this, the total GPU inventory now stands at around 34,333 units, with significant progress already made in installation across partner data centers.
